Great year of photos, everyone. Do we want to start a new year long thread tomorrow?
I'm happy to keep contributing, Mike, and thanks for your efforts on the thread in 2017. With this and the "weekly" thread I find a great incentive to keep up to date with images that might not otherwise see the light of day.
Just rolling back into the old film gear - think I haven't contributed before, thread is a great effort, Happy New Year!
Absolutely!! Thanks Mike for putting this together last year - it's a great venue to see everyone's work!
Sounds good to me. It's nice to have an alternative to the weekly thread.
Happy New Year and happy classic photography in 2018.
Rick, jump in & lead us off into the electron cloud since you folk's Down Under are already in 2018. . . Here in Hawaii we are dragging our feet, but will jump in. . . the locals are already burning up the atmosphere with their pyro's (not our type of pyro). Aloha, Bill
OK Bill, the sun's almost over the yardarm on the first day of 2018, down here. As I'm going to try and post some images from Classic Manual Lenses this year, here's one I took this morning while testing a newly-acquired 55mm Fujinon f/2.2, a very unusual design of four elements in four groups with the iris between the first and second elements. The camera was a Sony Alpha A7r. So, for January 1st..... And a very happy 2018 to all our members.
I guess Mike might like to start another sticky thread for 2018, in which case James might like to shift my above post to a new home.
Thanks, all. New thread coming up in few minutes.
Happy New Year. Rick, I would like to shift your image to the new thread but I had better leave well enough alone. I believe that is above my moderator limits and I would just mess everything up.
