35mm M Mount Lens for Under 650US? I'm about to get a M2, so I was wondering what 35mm lens I should get for it. I want a Voigtlander Nokton 35/1.4, but my dad already has it, so I'm thinking of getting the Voigtlander Color Skopar 35/2.5. I might use my SM lenses on my M2
Does it need to be new? I bought a 2.8 Summaron for about that much recently. It's lovely and I have the feeling most Leica lenses, while not an investment, don't lose much money.
Sorry & thanks for getting back, @justin_ng|1 It seems they skyrocketed since a buddy got me a NOS one. - I wasn't aware of that.
There are some really good Voigtlander 35's for Leica M cameras. Voigtlander Leica Mount Lenses Cameraquest - Scroll down to the 35mm section. The 35mm Skopar lens group is very small and light and inexpensive, and the 35mm Nokton 1.4 lenses close to your budget. These Vigtlander lenses have a very good reputation for sharpness and performance. Here's a used Zeiss Biogon f2.0 35mm lens on the bay used for $858 that is generally considered as good as the Leica 35mm Summicron. Voigtlander Leica Mount Lenses I sold off all my Leica M equipment a few years back after being a Leica user for over 35 years. My current RF camera is the little Sony a6000 with 24mp sensor, generally with a 35mm Sony 1.8 lens that is very sharp. Good luck
Thanks guys To be honest, the Handevision Iberit 35mm f2.4 looks pretty good, gonna have a look at that
