30mm Zodiak Fish-eye on P67

Hi,

Has anyone experience with using the Arsat Zodiak 30mm fish-eye lens on a Pentax 67. According to an answer to a letter published this month in a Dutch camera magazine it can be done using an adapter and fills the whole 6x7 format. When I try this lens (with Kiev 88 mount) with a Pentax 67 body the image does fill the whole (prism finder) image, but with the lens on infinity it is physically impossible to get it close enough to the mirror to get a fully focussed image. It also looks that if it was possible to modify either the lens or the body to get it close enough to focus, the lens would get in the way of the mirror.

Anyone done this successfully and with which lens version - Kiev 60 or 88?

Thanks in advance.................Tony Cunningham

Just in case anyone else was considering trying this out, I will answer my own question. No it does not work. It is just about possible to focus on infinity and the entire 6x7 format is filled, but the rear element of the fish-eye obstructs the P67 mirror - pity.

Anyone like to buy an unused Arsat 30mm fish-eye for Kiev 88? Dfl 350 (DM 320, US$ 180, 115 UK pounds)
