Greg M Posted February 24, 2004 Share Posted February 24, 2004 I agree the 35/2 is the proper lens if you are a film shooter. It's my favorite focal length and the only prime I own. If you shoot digitally though, the 24/2.8 would be the better choice for groups at a digital focal length of approx 38mm upposed to the 35/2 which would be a 56mm digital lens. I'm sure the happy couple won't mind a few missing family members as you couldn't fit them all in. Better to recommend it because it has less edge distortion being a less wide angle lens. Anyway, they have very different PoV and your distance from the group and your desire to catch more/less of the background will determine which one to use. Happy shooting , Yakim.
