2200 printing Epson Exhibition paper

<p>Im having trouble printing epson "Exhibition Fiber " paper on my 2200 . When I set it to either glossy or semi glossy or luster ...the ink smudges . I have some success with Enhanced Matt setting , but its not perfect . Any suggestions ???<br>

<p>I have the Epson 2880, but are you using the rear feeder for the paper? Did you increase the platen gap?<br>

Truth is, the only time I used that paper, I got some smudges on the paper edge also, although Ilford Galerie Gold Fiber Silk did not smudge.</p>

<p>Might it have something to do with the fact that this paper was designed for use with Epson's Ultarachrome K3 inks?</p>

<p>No, I did not know it was made to be used exclusively with Ultarachrome K3 ink!<br>

I have just opened a box of 50 sheets ...so I don't want to waste that money (as I cant return open box) so anyone that has anymore suggestions on how to get the prints as best quality as possible ...It would be greatly appreciated.<br>

<p>try the rear feed option, change the ink drying time, print at 1440 instead of 2880... this paper is heavy, and this could be the one reason why you have smudge over it if you print it in the *normal* feeder.</p>
