cher_vang
Hello all, for a group of 15-20 is this enough power or do I need more? Lineup could possibly be side by side single file, or in rows.
lex_jenkins
If you use 'em without any modifiers, maybe. And don't expect much more than the full-on flash look you'd get without modifiers. Generally I'd think of a pair of 250 w/s monolights as being suitable only for a typical solo or couple portrait type setup with modifier (umbrella, softbox, etc.). I recently rented a pair of Interfit Colorflash 500S monolights for shooting mostly pairs and no more than four people at a time, using standard umbrellas. I always had one monolight on full-pop and the other at some fraction that varied according to the setup. It was for theatre publicity photos and I also needed part of the set and stage to be clearly visible. At least one light was pretty close most of the time to keep the light soft and even. Any less power would have been too little for this situation. The Interfits are good lights but they can't work miracles.
