zenza_bronica
Hello, I heard rumors that it is not possible to fire 2 flashes with one pocket wizard plus II. Is that true? Is this only possible with the plus I ?
Matt Laur
Do you mean physically cabling both to the same receiver? Or do you mean having one strobe optically slaved to another, which is triggered by the PW? And just to be clear: you ALWAYS need at least two units... one on the camera, and one on at least one strobe.
marshall
It is possible. You can fire two PWs with one wizard using a simple headphone splitter, available for cheap at Radio Shack. [i have done this successfully with two SB-800s, but I don't take responsibility for anything that might happen to anyone else's flashes...] If one of the flashes has an optical slave, that is easier, and gives you a little more flexibility to separate the flashes. Otherwise they only go so far apart as a 1/8 inch-to-1/8 inch cable will take you.

ellis_vener_photography
Yo uneed a transmitter attached to the camera and a receiver even if the receiver is connected to the two flashes the way Marshall suggests.
