2.8 TLR Planars ;Are they interchangeable?

Hi:

I have a 2.8 F Planar and wonder if modern ones are identical

to the old F model ones.Mine is getting scratchy and I would be

tempted to pay for it to be replaced.Price ,of course, matters ...as

if close to the one I would pay for the whole 2.8GX then I would just

go ahead and get the whole new shabang.

Jorge, The lenses are the same, exept for the HFT coating on new ones. That does not mean that the way they are built into the camera must be exactly the same. Have you considered having the lens front element re-coated by Focal Point? He does nice work. I'm certain it will cost only a fraction of what a complete lens change would--if it is possible, as the new camera use a totally different shutter.
