13" Paper Rolls

Hi,

 

I went through several of the posts here about media. Lots of paper

out there, but I can't seem to find premium quality rolls 13" wide

for my R1800.. I find 10" and 17" but nothing in between. All I did

find was Epson's Luster 13"x32' but I'd prefer a premium matte for my

R1800 at 13" wide by 70-100 feet. Any suggestions?

 

I'm also waiting out for Lyson's CIS for the R1800, hopefully they'll

make release media and ink to go along with the CIS.

Moab Entrada - 13" x 40' in two weights and two brightnesses on 3" cores. Excellent paper.

Ayaz, I spoke to these people last week (http://www.eximvaios.com.) They will cut roll paper to suit your needs. They even have adaptors if necessary, as some roll stock cores will not fit 2200/2400 machines. A 50' roll of 13" Epson UltraSmooth (my favorite) runs around $83. It is considerably cheaper than sheet stock, but the roll stock is printable only on one side. Velvet (another favorite) is available in 13" roll stock as well. Hope this helps.

Hi Ayaz. In Greece and of course in Europe you can find Hahnemuhle Photo Rag (188 gr/m2) at 13" roll by 11 meters long(I don't know the equivalent at feet). Prices are about 70 euros plus VAT (19% in Greece).

A 36" roll 100 foot of high end premium paper runs a printer about less than 100 bucks.

here is a list of what Adorama stocks. Their site is so hard to search for paper by roll width that I made up my own list Pro Jet is their house brand and is pretty good and very cheap.

Red River has both 13" rolls and 13" extra wide sheets.

Thanks everyone for the help, i'll be looking into all the suggestions. I just ordered the Lyson CIS and their Photochrome Inks for the R1800 from inkspecialists. I also posed the media question to them and what media would work well with the Lyson ICCs and Inks.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I prefer Epson Enhanced Matte which I can get in 17 but not 13 inch and I've been looking high and low for a replacement.

FWIW Red River only sells canvas in 13 inch. I've never printed on canvas but it's so affordable in 20 foot rolls I will try it.
