rob_fisher1
Hey guys, I recently came across a Kodak Tele-Instamatic 608 that takes 110 film, but I'm having trouble loading it. It seems that there is a little switch where the film is loaded that, whenever pushed (as it is when I put film in), locks the shutter button so that it can't shoot. When I got the camera, it had some film left in it, and I shot a couple frames with it, so I know it works. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks! patrick j dempsey
I think the little switch reads the film speed based on a tab on the cartridge. If you are indoors and trying to shoot "test shots" it could be that there is not enough light to allow the shutter to fire. Try outdoors in the day and see if it goes.

tom_cheshire
That little "tab" on the bottom snags the single "hole" in the film as it advances so the advance stops. After shooting the tab recedes so the film can begin advancing again.

Try shooting it without film. Advance a few pushes on that advance slide then push that tab with a fingertip and see if it shoots. If it can do it without film, it should do it with film.
