> i can think of no earthly reason to own a hassy in this day and age

Uh....OK Kinda going a little far....I can think of many reasons I own a hassy in this day and age or any other....If you really want to see the difference take a few slides and project them at about 20 by 20 feet you guys with digital try this with your vidio projectors and I think you will see why I use a hassy! Taking photographs is not about how many lines of resolution this lens does or that lens does not, it is about the finished image. We tend to lose sight of what we are try to do. I think I said something like "why would anyone still want to lug a 8x10 view camera around in this day and age" well I said that 35 years ago and guys are still lugging them around making images I can only dream about. I know a few guys that can take pictures that will blow your socks off using 30 year old 35mm SLRs, that said, it is not about the equipment it is about the guy(or gal Jezz don't what to get in trouble)using it.

(It is late and I am ranting sorry)

So why would you lug that "out of date" 8x10 camera around, cause it works for you. Just the reason I lug my "out of date" Hassy around. No batteries to friz out in the cold, if everything goes to heck I can use the sunny 16 and keep on shooting(in the day light anyway) I can say that I have never had to miss a shot because of equipment with my hassy and I can't say that of any other equipment that I own. And thats my point, so there ;-)

> cause it works for you

now Brandon, you start using sound logic laced with a heavy dose of practicality and creativity, and you will have to be banned from the forum. triblett has made a compelling and convincing argument as to why we should dump our Hasselblads and buy six separate camera systems. and who knows why he is toting around an 8x10, when a 16x20 yields a much nicer negative.

brandon?

what the hell kinda name is that? i've never heard that one before. hmm, guess what else about that 8x10 of mine i've discovered? yup, it's as easy to handhold as a hassy, but since it's cutting-edge technology(no mirror slap)it doesn't flip outta my hands when it trip the shutter. guess what else? it's never hard-jammed once and i never have to sync the lens to the back to the grip to the finder when changing film... or whatever byzantine dance that it is you rich dentists do with yer silly over-priced hassies.

pssst, i have 12 cameras, i think, or 15?

me

p.s. now tell me you only own one and i'll tell you to pull this leg as it plays deutschland gmbh, deutschland gmbh uber alles gmbh.

p.p.s. and don't troll a king troll.

Pilot not Dentist and yep I have to agree triblett is a troll name. Been making a living as Photographer for bout 30 years when flying wasn't paying the bills. You know I have always read that trolls are suppost to be strong but alass not beeing able to hold your camera I guess you would have a problem with a hassy. but then trolls are not too smart so it might be the way you are holding it. By the way I have never taken a picture of a troll so I would give you a modeling fee. Might could sell a few pictures to the "Lord of the rings" folks. As far as the number of cameras I have, shucks I don't know 65 or 70 I guess don't really know. Got a couple of them there Horseman view cameras they sure do look nice next to the fireplace just wish I could figure out which end to look in.

Germany over all.....Hmmmmm Nazi Troll?

Pull my leg and well uh never mind.

Thought we were talking about Mamiya 7 oh well this is more fun

Sorry Jon

Aufrichtiger Dank

Yep leaving for Osh monday not flying anything fun but kinda different a 700 twin commander (Fuji heavy industries) only 31 ever built. It has 2 Lyc tio-540s 340 hp would be much better if it had bout 500hp maybe PW PT6s. I will admit Osh is not the place for my hassy. Spell check? (very boring and boorish)A mans spelling is a light to his soul and mine is uh well misspelled.
