m_morgan1
I was wondering if anyone could help me make up my mind. I am looking at buying the Canon G3 but i saw an advertisment for the Canon G5, and I like that it is a 5 megapixel. I found the G3 for $491 aand the G5 for $650. I will use it for nature pics and ladscape pics. I am not really sure which one to get. I work with 3 guys that have G3and love them and they say that I should get one. What should I do. joshroot
I suggest that you learn to ask useful questions. Blanket "what should I get" questions really don't have an answer other than the one above. A smart person would look at the features on the cameras in question and then decide which is more important: more features on one or a cheaper price on the other. If you have a specific question like "Will I notice the difference between 4 and 5 mpix if I am printing out a 5x7 to put on my shelf?" Then you'll get a good answer. Otherwise it's like you are asking "should I eat an apple or a banana?". How should we know?
joshroot
But, given that I actually have an opinion on these two cameras, I would get the g3 for less money and spend the extra cash on more memory cards and extra batteries.
the_macman
How the h_ are we supposed to know ? You like that it's 5 MP, so do I like the fact that the 1Ds has 11.1 of them, but do you need it? :) Tell us more about your output workflow.
