henricus
I have the T-20 and the OM2 camera. I have followed the instructions to the letter and the flash goes off, but I wonder if it is working as designed. I have the panel on the flash set to auto and the camera set to auto also. Supposedly there is a red led light in the viewfinder that should go on when you have the correct exposure. No such light goes on in my view finder, but the flash does go off and the shutter fires at the speed indicated, however slow. Is this normal? Is my red led just out or am I doing something wrong? perry_bain1
Is your camera an OM-2, or OM-2n? I think the viewfinder flash confirmation LED was added as a new feature for the "n" version. The flash itself should have a light on the back that lights up with sufficient flash, but you will need to move your eye away from the viewfinder immediately after the exposure to see it. henricus
Perry,<p> I have an OM2. According to the manual it does not distinguish between the OM2n and the OM2. Additionally, I thought the viewfinder LED was to verify that you had a good exposure not that the flash was ready as the LED on the flash itself does. konrad_beck1
There is no flash ready light in the OM-2 viewfinder. Check for the different use of the T20 on the OM-2/2n the T20 manual, e.g. p. 7 here: http://olympus.dementia.org/eSIF/om-sif/flashphotogroup/manuals/t20.pdf
