stephen_w.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2947174123 I just picked up my first collector, wanker/fondler piece. I had one before (user condition) and used it. I sold it because I found it redundant (have 75 and 90 TE) and heavy. I decided to get another, but this one is so nice, I doubt it will see much use other than on the shelf, sigh. It's not a lot of dough (about a couple of days take home), but the principle of collecting and fondling bothers me. Maybe I'll just scratch the barrel and use the thing at home; no way will it be a travel lens, even the 75 stays at home.

stephen_w.
Naw, I can't help but using whatever I buy, hate shelving things. I KNOW that I'll use it. Love the Mandler look.
rgh
Great Lens!, The early 90mm Summicron is one of my favorite Leitz 'lookers'. Its one of my top three 'Most Beautiful' lenses. Its got that slightly gold glow chrome finish, big blue glass, lots of nice engravings and grooves, and HEFT! Great Photo quality too, especially wide open and close up with people. You feel the lens on your shoulder, but the weight helps settle it down with low light and slower shutter speeds [which is its reason for being]. stephen_w.
My book: Leica 70 Years says 600 made. How many factory converted to M-Mount??? How many in this condition??? I will use this, carefully, i.e., no biking with this item, put a filter on it.
