jt991
I have just got a Rolleiflex 2.8f (2439xxx) with immaculate lenses & a recent service, but the corners of the screen surface have been damaged (not by me) presumably by trying to clean them with the wrong *cleaning fluid*. A good time to buy a Beattie/Maxwell replacement no doubt... but if I cannot find a used but good Rolleiflex screen, would a Rolleicord (e.g. Va/b) type be o.k. without any modification? jt991
Thanks, Harry. Just so happens my Vb may now be leaving... & so tempted to switch screens . But how, after pulling back & lifting the frame is the screen removed/replaced ? Does the secret lie in the two small tabs ? It looks as tho the screen should just slide out wihout having to bend them clear (& then back again). Tried to, but some *in-built* resistance. Problem forseen if any bending necessary... jerry_lehrer
Jim You don't BEND the tabs. They are spring loaded. Just deflect themso the screen slides out. Jerry
