tony_brookes
Is there an adaptor that links an R5 to a telescope e.g a Televid ?
h._p.
I have an adaptor for my Kowa TS-820. It bayonets on in place of the eyepiece then you use a T-mount to attach the camera. You need a seriously stable tripod with this combination. I'd be surprised if Leica don't do something like this but I'd expect it to be very pricey (the Kowa adaptor cost £120)
david_smith12
Tony, Start your search here: http://www.licha.de/AstroWeb/articles_fullsize.php3?iHowTo=2 Michael Covington has a book Astrophotography for the Amateur that discusses various methods. Here is a link to reach him www.ai.uga.edu www.scopetronix.com is another excellent site for camera adapters.
frank_horn
Photo adapter 42 300 converts Televid to 800mm lens. The 1998 Handbook of the Leica System further notes: "To make the connection, a T2 adapter with respective camera bayonet is needed." So, they probably make adapters to non-Leica cameras, as well. The length is 5.1 inches (129mm) and the diameter is 2.3 inches (58mm) weight 215 grams. It has 7 elements. Like a yacht, it you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. ;-)
