derek_riehl
Hi, I have a Ricoh 108 video camera (circa 1991, but Hi8, so am happy with it) that I want to use with a trinocular microscope (like the kind pictured from eBay, here: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1161807894). The video camera has a macro feature built-in, but the field is too large (about 3 cm diagonally). Do you have advice on narrowing the field to work with the C-Mount tube on the top of the microscope? One option I am considering is the use of a Sony 45mm macro c-mount lens (part #99-9906-22, according to the picture in eBay, here: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1610424897). Do you have any idea if this will work? Even if the optics line up OK there then is the problem of fitting the 45mm macro lens onto my 46mm threads; do you where one might order a 46mm (male) to 45mm (female) step-down ring (or maybe a combination of rings to go from 46mm to 45mm)? Thanks for any help/advice you can provide. Best Regards, Derek Riehl408-285-5715
