g j
While it was loading, I was thinking wow, what a neat picture. Then it finished loading and it just wasn't the same. Try cropping out some of the foreground into a more panoramic format and see what you think. Gene
bob_mac
Thanks Gene, I'll give that a try. These are my first "picture" posts. Question: Is the image loading quickly? About 4X6 on your screen? Bob
ralph_barker
Load quickly? No, it was a bit slow. Although only 462x300 in size, it's a 94K GIF file. You'll have better color and detail rendition if you save the web-display version as a JPEG, Bob. That will also allow you to control the compression to an optimal point. An image of that size should only be 50-60K at most. Folks with dial-up connections will especially appreciate the difference.
ellis_vener_photography
I like it as you have posted . Good , minimalistic use of color, an assymetric composition,, nice feel of isolation, it shares some some of the emotional feelings as the paintings of Andrew Wyeth (I think that is the right Wyeth) and Edward Hopper, but is purely photographic in feel. It is very fine. Don't crop.
ellis_vener_photography
Where on Cape Cod is it/ It reminds me of the cottage my wife and I stay at when we go there.
Robin Smith
Bob Very nice - simple and subtle tones. Robin Smith
andrew_lee2
I like it - the muted, subtle feel. Is it my imagination or is the horizon dipping ever so slightly to the left?
