dennis_leone1
I have a Ziess 135mm large format lens. The slow speeds are slow and I can not cock the shutter at T or B.This is a tesser lens and the glass is perfect. Is the shutter worth fixing? Or can I put the glass in another shutter easily....Can anyone recomend a good reasonable lens repair guy......Dennis
donald_miller1
Steve Grimes will be able to take care of the matter. I am not sure of the URL but a search will pull him up for you. Good luck
mark_erickson
Check S.K. Grimes for info about shutter repair/replacement. My personal experience (sending two shutters in for CLA/Repair) has been excellent.
Troll
You are not supposed to cock the shutter at T or B. On "B" if you press the shutter release, the shutter blades will open as long as the release is pressed, when you releasee it the blades will close. On "T" one press of the shutter release will open them, a second will let the blades close.
david_gagnon
Dennis,This lens is an older one and you don't say which shutter it is in, but I suspect is is of the vintage where the shutter is not supposed to be cocked for T and B to operate. Give it a try. Maybe you can live with the slower speeds being on the slow side to save the cost of a CLA. Or just use T or B with a smaller aperture. Hope this helps.Good luck.
