ted_de_la_garza
I have noticed recently that the Focus Mode Selector knob on my F-100 does not rotate very smoothly. This is especially true between the "S" setting and the "M" setting, where it seems to have an extra click. Is this typical or should I have it looked at? It seems to work fine but I am concerned that this might be a sign of impending failure. Thanks Ted
don_cooper1
My F100 is the same as is my N90S. It would appear to be deliberate to prevent accidental switching.
david_h._hartman
Between Single Sever and Manual you are retracting or employing the autofocus drive mechanism. What you feel almost certainly normal.
luis_marco_de_sebastian
It is the same with my F100, i am not sure why and also fear it may fail in the future... hope i am wrong. It did not happen with my 8008s.
cts
Same for me.
I suppose (as said above) that between S and M, there is a mechanical switch, intstead of between C and S where the switch should be only electronic.
Perhaps Nikon people could confirm this ...
