w_whalan
we have had our hawkeye brownie for 40 years. it has one threaded and one non-threaded receptacle 3/4 inch apart each about 3/16 diameter. this is where flash attachment went (long gone).
can i connect electronic flash in there somehow? chris_eve
The problem with connecting an electronic flash to any camera like this is the synchronisation will be wrong. There's a delay to give the bulb time to burn which is not necessary with an electronic flash, so with one of these the flash will have come and gone before the shutter opens. charles_clemens1
I just put up a web page showing how to convert a Hawkeye for electronic flash. It's at: http://www.cwclemens.com/ConvertingBrownie/BrownieFlash.html
Charles Clemens
