ishi
My F55 been giving me Err messages. I've asked around, most suspect problems with the lense - G lense. Going back to basic, I discovered that Err is the message given when the filem dont advance properly. Typically the manual advises rewinding and reload..but hey, I cant be doing that after every 5 exposures... True enough, the Err messages hardly ever appears for the first 5 exp. but will start there on... most often than not. The result of this is a rather dark or underexposed pic or nothing worth printing at all. I've fiddled around to get the expose meter to '0' - neither over nor under exposed. So, what, pray tell is the matter with my F55.

hal_bissinger
Send both the lens and body to Nikon for service. They will tell you what the problem is.

salil_s
Dead end. If I'm not mistaken Shirin lives in India and has mostly bought the F55 from the grey market, which means no warranty. But then, I might be wrong.
ishi
ehehhe...what ever gave salil the idea that I live in India. And nope, I bought it from an appointed and authorised distributor and yes, it did come with a warranty. Bzzz... wrong on all counts, salil :P
salil_s
I got the idea since you have posted the same query on jjmehta.com. But hey I am glad I was wrong.
