MTC Photography
Ron, happy new year. A Minox enlarger is essential tool for Minox photography, other 35mm enlarger can do the work too, but Minox enlarger's illumiation system is very efficient, particularly in enlarging 8x10" prints, only a couple of seconds exposure vs much longer time with 35mm enlarger. A Minox daylight development tank is also highly recommended, it is a time saver, because you can load film in day light without struggling in darkroom. Minox daylight development tank was discontinued, but you can still buy them on ebay.
Minox LX has accurate light meter, you will get correctly exposed negatives.
However, you will encounter many problems on the way, such as dust and scratches--- these can be solved with careful handling-- yes, Minox negative need more care than larger formats ---- When you get your first sucessful 8x10" enlargement, which looks as good as from a Leica camera, you will become a die hard fan. Then then danger will be you may be itching to buy more and more Minox cameras.
