Troll
I thought that production of the F3 stopped last year. Suddenly they are listed by B&H, Adorama, Calumet as official USA imports.
gary_watson
Doubtful, but you can check the Nikon Japan site to be certain. Suspect you're looking at NOS items, evidence that sales were very slow relative to inventory. Just don't expect any bargains.
bruce_rubenstein___nyc
Interesting question. The F3HP is also in the current (vol 8) Nikon Full Line Product Guide that I got last week.
cd thacker
It's also pictured with the other pro cams on the NIKON USA site.
dj_soroka
If it ain't listed on Nikon Japan's site, it ain't in production. And in production could mean that they have 1,000,000 in Japan already built waiting to ship. So, since it ain't on Nikon Japan's site, they shipped everything out 18 months ago or more (when F3 came off site). Nikon USA will list a product as long as there is sufficient inventory in this country with dealers for Nikon USA imported products. That could, theoretically, if sales were real slow, be for years. Understand how it works, now???
henk
Bill, They are clearing out old stock, mainly the 'normal' F3's. Remember that not every camera that leaves the Nikon factory is automatically sold.... Greetings,
