ashtonsmith
I am looking for high quality inkjet papers to use in my Epson 2200. So far I have samples from Red River, Pictorico, Lumijet, and Epson. What other manufactures are there that make very high quality papers? I will be profiling each paper for best results. I tend to lean toward E finish or Matte type papers.

blaine_franger
My favorite paper is the Archival Heavyweight Matte by Epson. It is a nice thick paper with a great surface. Its really inexpensive too.
rich815
Try Brightcube Eclipse Satine. It can be found here: www.inkjetgoodies.com
nature-photography
I used to be happy with Archival Matte, until recent test reports began showing up saying the paper turns yellow in 30 years. Sure the inks are lightfast for 60+, but it doesn't seem to help when the paper itself turns bad on you.
lyle_aldridge1
Legion's Somerset Photo Enhanced. A list of "very high quality papers" must include it. It's far from cheap, and YMMV on the 2200, but prints on the velvet and silk surfaces from my 1280 are breathtaking.
zoeica images
For commercial work, clients really seem to like the Heavyweight Archival Matte for Epson. Fine with me , it only cost $17.00 for 50 8 1/2 x 11 sheets. For my printing with color negs and chromes, I prefer the Epson Semigloss(real photograph feel to it) and the Watercolor Radiant White. 13x19's look better than sending negs to a custom lab. Ilford's Smooth Pearl and Smooth Gloss work well also, but do not expect a very glossy look to the Smooth Gloss compared to Epson's Glossy. Both are heavyweight paper. neil
A lot of retailers sell "sampler packs" that generally include 2 sheets each of various kinds of paper. This might be a good, economical way to try a lot of papers. Also, when you finish testing, would you mind posting the results here?
