bryan_durr
My 35/70MM F3.3 AF NIKKOR lens ended up in the shop and now I have a shoot on Wednesday that will require that I use a manual lens on a Nikon 6006. The problem lays in the fact that I do not own a speedlight flash unit, which is all the manual keeps referring to, and the last time I did any flash photography with a manual lens was about 20 years ago. I will be shooting a lot of faces and podium shots at a meeting. Can you recommend the best and simplest way to set the camera so that I get good results. I will be using a Manual NIKKOR 35MM. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bryan
jos__javier_vicente
I think I'm missing something in your question. Your 6006 has a built-in flash, you can use it with a manual lens without loosing TTL. Just consider what distance you'll be shooting, since this flash in NG 12, you won't reach more than 6 meters (if your 35 mm is the f 2 version) with film ISO 100, so maybe you'll have to use a higher speed film.
