triston
Hi I've got an F80(N80) and SB25. Does anyone know if setting a flash compensation on the camera body will affect the flash compensation on the flash? that is, if i set a flash compensation of -1 on the body, is it the same as setting a flash compensation on the flash itself? thanks. Jerry_
If you can get a SB-28 flash, you can dial -.3 or -.7 or -1 with the flash controls. It is not in my knowledge base if the -1 on the F80 body will produce a flash output (on the SB-25) of minus one value. The exposure will be (my guess) reduced by a value of one. Best way to see how it works is shoot a roll of film, take notes, and see what happens on your film.
hal_bissinger
Don't know either. The only reason that body has flash comp on it is because it has a built in flash. I always use the flash comp on the flash and I assume you are saying (since I am unfamiliar with both the F80 and SB-25) that the SB-25 is capable of that adjustment. I guess that you will just have to run some tests and see how it works. Keep in mind that that flash is several generations behind your F80.
