Fujifilm TX-1 vs Hasselblad Xpan

Good question Richard. I don't suppose anybody owns both cameras and can compare them. And I would imagine if you asked either Hasselblad or Fuji they would be quite coy about the topic. But still your best bet is to ask the manufacturer (i.e. Fuji). As a follow up to your question you might also tell us why you need to know...

Josh is right. It's a Fuji in Japan & a Hasselblad everywhere else. Also, I doubt Hasselblad will service a TX-1. But you shouldn't have any problems mounting TX-1 lenses on an Xpan, or the reverse.

If you're considering a TX-1, the manual is in Japanese only. The latest edition of Ernst What's-his-name's Hasselblad manual will get you 98% of the way, though.

The reason I asked is that I have a couple of trips to Tokyo later this year. So I want to check on possible purchases before I go. I saw the TX-1 in Yodobashi Camera the last time I was there, and I realised after returning that it looks very like the XPan.

I'm pondering whether to get a rangefinder; the XPan, Bessa R2 and Bronica RF645 are all possibilities, and may be cheaper in Japan then here in the UK.
