michal_makowski1
Do you have any comments about P645nII viewfinder? Is it bright, and what about manual focusing, easy or not...?
john_lawson
Michal, The Pentax645nII viewfinder is the biggest and brightest that I have seen. Very easy to manually focus. John Lawson
thomas_t
Michal, the P645nII viewfinder is even brighter than the P67II, which is already very bright. One of the best viewfinders I've ever encountered. Focusing is easy, the screen is just a normal center spot matte (AS-80) without the split prism of the P67II (which I find can be distracting for quick shots but otherwise great for considered shots). A split prism would not have been practical anyways on the P645nII because of autofocus abilities. I frequently use mine on manual focus, as my subjects (landscapes) are rarely shy or run away ;) I wear glasses and I've not had any problems with focusing. There is a built in diopter as well as a larger eyecup (included). Depending on your personal preference, you can also substitute to a 1) AG-80 AF cross-lined matte; 2) AB-82 AF Split-Image Matte; 3) AA-82 AF Microprism Matte ... so it seems like you have a variety of interesting choices. Cheers, Tom
ken c oshkosh, wi
I agree, my 645NII is the brightest of all the bodies that I have. I also use mostly manual focus as I shoot landscapes too. I installed the AG-80 grid screen on mine. It is still quite bright with the 45-85 f/4.5 zoom too.
