per_volquartz1
I keep going in circles, logging in, typing messages, being asked to log in again, re-writing my post, being asked to re-log in etc...and no postings showing... Times WERE good on the old LF board!!!
ken_burns1
That has happened to me a number of times. Now I always copy the text before hitting the submit button. That way, if I have the problem, all I have to do is paste.
jersey_emt
Try photo.net instead of photo.et. :P
huib_smeets
Hi, No problem over on this side of the big pond.... Maybe it is 'cookie' related, guess that this photo.net site uses 'cookies' to track wether you are logged in. Look at your webbrowsers settings. terry_dvorak
This has happened to me lately also. Here's what's worked for me: 1. After signing in and typing response, hit "Submit." It's supposed to give you the "Confirm" screen. 2. If it doesn't, DON'T re-sign in on the new screen. Instead, hit the "Back" button to go back to the "type your response" screen. Copy your already-typed response to your clipboard (Just Ctrl-C or Command-C it after highlighting) to save it and then 3. Hit the "Back" button again to get back to the original sign-in screen. Sign in again, and proceed. I've never had this fail. I experience the problem you relate if I go back from the "Confirm" screen to make changes in my response; it's the second or third time I try to Submit that it asks me to log in. Now let's see if I can confirm this or whether it asks me to log in again. . . .

jonathan brewer
Per...and everybody else....I've already been through this, you have to set your browser to accept cookies before Photo-net lets you log in, you're on a merry-go-round becasue nothing's telling you need to change your browser to accept cookies before you can log-in. In Netscape I go 2 edit/preferences/advanced and change from disable cookies to accept cookies option and then I log-in, since I don't cookies, I disable cookies after I finish posting. Brian, is there anyway we can go through this cookie deal once?
per_volquartz1
Cookies are always turned on in my browser. It is not a cookie problem, probably more an inconsistency in the programming???
jonathan brewer
A couple of thoughts Per, when my browswer starts screwing up, I get rid of cache buildup(or whatever the hell you call it), internet temp files(disk clean-up I believe), maybe this'll help. mottershead
I'm going to transfer this the Support and Feedback Forum. I think Per is describing a problem that I've seen myself quite often. I don't think it has anything to do with cookies, or if it does, it isn't a result of user error. (However, disabling cookies will certainly create problems that are similar.) If anyone can consistently reproduce this problem, I would appreciate hearing from him by email. Consistently doesn't necessarily mean every time, but a high percentage of the time. For me, it isn't consistent, but occurs maybe 5-10% of the time. The problem might be related to server load. I agree that it is very annoying and it is interesting (and perhaps a clue) that LUSENET didn't have this problem, since the softare on LUSENET is very similar to what we have here.
