blaine_franger
Hey I'm looking for a good tutorial on the web for techniques on how to make digital images look cross processed or infared. Does anyone know of a site or want to share any info on how to do this?

jkantor
I've been playing around with those recently. Cross-processing effects seem to be doable, but I suggest you look at using gradient maps. They are much easier, but it will still require a lot of trial and error to get a look you like. http://members.shaw.ca/johnalli/pages/tipscross.html Unfortunately, infrared is a problem. Infrared films see a much different tonal range than visible light so just changing greens to whites doesn't work very well - and it does terrible things to skin tones. But Fred Miranda has an action on his site you might want to look at. www.fredmiranda.com
