kristian dowling
Gees, isn't it exciting once you've placed an order?! Even I am excited. Can't wait to see what you can do with it. Be sure to share!

stb
Congratulations. I remember the morning I got mine. I just could not believe it. It is indeed a very special lens in my opinion. When wide angle gets that good it opens up things just by the confidence it gives you. It is a shift in workflow when you can trust your 28 as much as your 50, I think. ray_moth
Charles, congratulations on what I'm sure will prove to be an excellent choice. From what I've heard of Rich Pinto, you chose a pretty good dealer too.
ned_learned
Charles, My problem with the 28MM Summicron that once I put it on an M-6 I couldn't take it off. It would come off but I couldn't get up the courage to do it. You'll have the same dilemna.

charles barcellona www.bl
Greg, I'm using the 35 Asph-Summicron, 50 Summicron and 90 Elmarit, had the 21 and 15 C/V lenses but I really dont like the external finder scenario... so they're goin' over to ease the pain on the 28's bill. alan_simon
I have a date with Rich tomorrow to pick up mine. Off to Scotland on Monday. We'll have to compare 'notes' (images). No, I won't depend on a new lens on a trip, but I will include samples as a test. Enjoy-I hope I do, as well. Al
doug_hagerman
How much of a "lens test" do you need for your new lens? Does it mechanically function right? (Aperture, focus) Does it focus right? (take pictures at infinity, 3 meters, 1 meter, try a flat wall) Run a roll of film through it (time: 15 minutes) and take it to the 1-hour photo place. A quick check of the prints will tell you whether it works OK or not... Then take it on vacation!
