rich long
Previous discussion of this must have been unarchived (duh!) since I can't find it by searching. And I don't want to start a discussion amongst the masses, just looking for a quick answer. I know that the unarchived forum was recently bumped from 24 hrs to 48 hrs shelf life. But are all threads getting 48 hrs? Twice in the last couple days, I've gone back to see the discussion on a thread and it's disappeared. Meanwhile other threads that were older are still present. At least I'm 95% sure that they were older... Most recently, the thread on 'book recommendations', for example. So are some threads only getting 24 hrs, or is this just further evidence that I'm losing my grip on reality?
mottershead
All threads should get at least 48 hours. Some may be getting longer than 48 hours for various reasons, including: (a) a moderator decided to give them longer; (b) they've been extended automatically for another 48 hours because they din't have any answers after 48 hours; © they were transferred from another forum (such as the Archived Forum), in which case they get 48 hours from the time they were transferred not from the time when they were originally posted. steveh552
I have posted 2 questions in the last 48hrs, both are gone in less than 48, I think one only had about 20 hours.
