CHECK OUT MINOX 8X11 CAMERA DOF WITHOUT A MINOX

You can use a 35mm SLR with 50mm lens to check out the depth of field of all Minox 8x11 cameras.

For Minox A/B/BL/C/LX/TLX/CLX/AX : Set SLR camera aperture at f12.6, focus the camera at the object, press down the DOF preview button. You will see the depth of filed of these cameras.

For Minox EC/ECX, Focus the SLR at 2 meter (6 feet ), set aperture at F22, press down the DOF preview button, you will see exactly how a EC/ECX picture looks.

For Minox MX, set SLR's aperture at F18, foucs SLR at object, press down DOF preivew.

Martin, seems like the ECX equivalent on a 35mm with 50mm lens would

be more like f17, yes? 50 divided by 15 = 3-1/3. 3-1/3 stops up

from f5.6 would be 1/3 stop beyond f16. If it was f22, that would be

4 full stops and would be comparing the ECX to a 60mm lens on a 35mm

camera.
