jim_talkington
I have resently moved and would like to setup my darkroom. However, I have well water and a septic system. With the silver from the fixing solution I am concerned with poisoning my septic. What did they do in the past when everyone was on their own septic sysstem? Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
jim
michael_d._davignon
Jim,
Give us a call here at the KODAK Information Center at 1-800-242-2424 and request publication number J-300. It covers a range of issues on disposal including septic issues. There is also information and FAQ's on our KODAK web site at www.kodak.com
Thank you,
Michael D. kip_babington
I believe there was a fairly extensive thread on this point over on photo.net within the last 6 months. (I think the consensus was that it's not likely to be a problem if you're just using ordinary B&W chemistry.) Try a search there for "septic" and see if you don't turn up something.
