Is a databack available to record exposure information?

Is there a data back available for the EOS 1-N that will automatically imprint exposure information outside the picture area? I've e-mailed this question to Canon but have never received a reply. Thanks.

In a word, no.

The only data recording back is the Technical Back E, which fits

the 620, 630, 650 series of EOS bodies, and the EOS RT (but with

a few less features available). It does not fit the EOS-1 or 1n

or any other EOS body other than the 600 series bodies listed.

It records data which can later be downloaded to a PC or

displayed on the LCD back. It can also print the data on the

film, but it does so <em>inside</em>, not outside, the image area.

My guess is that a data back for the 1n (or EOS-3) will be available

sooner or later, but

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.
