subbu_kalinathabotla
I am wondering if there is a Depth-of-field preview function on Canon EOS Rebel G. There is function called A-Dep that sets the depth-of-field automatically I believe but is that the depth-of-field preview function?
t_a
Nope, EOS 500, i.e. Rebel series, doesn't have DOF. EOS 300, or Rebel 2000, which is coming out this spring to replace the 500, is reported to have one. <p> The A-dep programme tries to figure out the aperture needed to have the depth of field to cover the range you need. In the EOS 500 it wasn't very flexible, maybe it's better in the 500 N.
luis santos
No, the 500N (Rebel G) has the same DOF Mode than the predecessor 500 (Rebel XS, I guess). <p> Just the new 300 (Rebel 2000) has a DOF preview button. And a separate one, unlike the Elan...
