How do I use the self timer? We lost our instruct.

We lost our instruction booklet. How do we use the self timer on the Rebel G?

I have to do this from memory as I haven't use a Rebel G in quite a while, but as I recall you just press the timer button (it's on the top, right side next to the LCD screen). Then press the shutter button. There will be a ten second delay and a small light in the front will begin to flash (faster as the time draws to a close). Quickly jump in front of the camera and smile. :~))

I just tried this on a Rebel G and found out the light doesn't flash, but it does turn on about 2 seconds before firing. Also the beeper chirps if you have it turned on.
