Do I understand this correctly ? If mirror lockup custom function is on, and the self timer button is activated, pressing the shutter button will result in mirror lock-up, followed by a 2 second delay, then shutter release. If lockup custom function is not on, and the self timer button is activated, pressing the shutter button will result in a ten second delay, then shutter firing. In short, mirror lock only works when the CF mirror lock function is on and the self timer button is activated. thanks

Short Answer: Yep.

Long Answer: The A2/A2E/5 doesn't provide manual MLU - only a 2

second 'pre-fire', which locks the mirror, allows vibration to

subside, and then fires the shutter.

You understand correctly.
