mark45831
I always shoot pinpoint AF-S . But I am trying to program the Fn2 button to just swap over for eye tracking then back to Pinpoint, Not having a lot of luck figuring this out, either I am missing something in my settings or it cant be done? rodeo_joe1
With Nikon's DSLRs a press on the centre 'joystick' OK button returns the AF point to centre - provided the surrounding lock lever hasn't been activated. I'd be surprised if a similar shortcut was absent on the Z bodies. Is there no AF point lock that can be quickly activated/deactivated?
ilkka_nissila
This kind of customization isn't available on the Z7. The Z9 probably can do it though. Edited April 12, 2022 by ilkka_nissila

rodeo_joe1
The User settings crossed my mind too, but the drawback is, they save everything. Not much use if you saved auto-ISO and Aperture priority, and you want to use Manual exposure with a fixed ISO and central AF point.

I normally shoot everything in manual at 100 iso if I can, with AF-S pinpoint focus and was wanting a quick switch to eye tracking and thought I could program to the FN2 button. But this will work fine.
