eddymendoza
Hello everyone. I recently purchased an adapter so I can use my Canon 5DRS on my Cambo large format camera. I've been playing with the two systems lately and found that it isn't all that easy. If anyone here has done similar please don't hesitate to chime in and give me some pointers. The only lens I have right now is a 210mm on the Cambo so portraits are all I can shoot or some products. I am looking into getting a 90mm for some landscapes although I don't know if I want to carry this very heavy and cumbersome collection of equipment outdoors. This may well be my studio gear and find something lighter for outdoors. Thanks

q.g._de_bakker
Are you moving the camera around the image cast by the lens, stitching the results to create a larger, digital image? It can be done using the shift function of the rear of a large format camera. But it takes a lot of time. Though i have adadpters to attach SLR bodies to my LF camera, i haven't done this using (D)SLRs myself. SLRs, i found, tend to vignet rather quickly when movements are used. Their mirror box housing is too deep. I know someone who does (or did) this using mirrorless cameras behind a Sinar. Works. But again, a lot of time and work to get a composite image. I have done this myself using a MF digital back behind a Sinar. Limited to static subjects in constant light, of course. And given that, i rather use my scanning back to create a digital capture of a much larger part of the LF image in one go.
