Please see this discussion for more details: Alternative weekly thread in Nature forum

Each participant please post no more than just one image per weekly thread. Many members will appreciate any information you are willing or able to provide regarding location, shooting process, exposure settings, equipment, and information on the subject(s), including scientific and/or common names.

This is the view looking generally north, down-canyon, from the south end of Park Avenue in Arches National Park, Utah, USA. This view is beguiling, as the scale is so hard to fathom. For reference, the fins along the right hand side are approximately 500 feet (152m) above the adjacent canyon floor.

Visitation at Arches NP has become so heavy they are now requiring reservations to access the park.:( Bye the bye... It was my privilege few years ago to design a new campground at nearby Dead Horse Point State Park.:)
