Matt Laur
Note: In the interests of balancing performance and quality, the topic of image file size and dimensions as normally posted to this recurring thread is under discussion elsewhere in the Nikon forum (the topic is obvious when you look) - please check in there and comment if you have thoughts to share! That's the best place to talk about that particular topic. For now, consider keeping uploads no larger than 1600 pixels on the long side when it matters, and sticking with 1000 pixels when the image feels no pain at that resolution. On data size/compression, try to keep things under 1mb, shooting for 600kb when you can stop there. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc). Are you new to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here: http://www.photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00W7km. For now, we're sticking with 1, 2, or 3 images per week as you see fit. A good Nikon Wednesday to all. Working on some video editing this weekend, and grabbed a frame shot with Nikon glass (85mm macro) on a Sony video body. You can tell from the composition that this is just one layer of what will become a more complex video composite in post. Lots of motion graphics and other elements - but good old fashioned practical lighting and real live humans doing things still anchor the project, animated pieces or no. What's everyone else been up to? Let's see!

Sanford
Some mornings there is about ten or fifteen minutes when the sun rises above the mountains but hasn't disappeared into the overcast yet where everything looks like it has been lit by a spotlight. Matthew Currie
Long ago, when a local farmer still delivered our milk in the morning, my mom met him at the top of the path, remarking what a beautiful sight the icy woods presented, to which he replied, "Yup, it's just one goddam fairyland." A stock expression in our family ever since.

ShunCheung
Hmmm. That scenery looks very familiar. Great place for all kinds of photography.:) Yes, I have had some luck with the sunset at Staten Island, in the Sacramento, California area. However, one of the favorite I got with a Nikon Z body was from Merced National Wildlife Refuge, to the south of Staten Island: Z6 + 24-70/4 S.
