rick_drawbridge
Sigma DP2 Merrill. It's amazing, the silliness one can get up to during a lockdown...
rick_drawbridge
Let me know if you're all getting tired of this thread! Meanwhile, here are three from a DP-2 Merrill. Edited September 7, 2021 by rick_drawbridge

JDMvW
Foveon images always do look nice to me, but the question of how many "real" pixels the images have has always been a mystery to me too. Regardless, like Sandy, I would like to see you-all keep 'em coming!

g_richards
I've looked at Sigma cameras more than a couple times over the past couple years. Ultimately, purchasing one just does not make sense to me. Some of these images are. indeed pretty darn nice tho! I too have done the same...it just seems Sigma is losing interest in the Foveon sensor which is unfortunate as I thought it always had potential as seen in the images posted here on this forum. Sandy Vongries
Cameras still seem to be available from Sigma in the U.S., but the last info I can find on their plans is from February 19 this year. Impressive results all, but I probably have a lifetime supply of cameras and lenses.
blurrist
It has its own disadvantages: Low light nasty noise, terrible flare/glow against the sunlight etc But for sure, all users are happy with the details produced. _SDI1681in by blurrist lump, on Flickr

Sandy Vongries
Continue to enjoy these, thanks - even used, the cameras are still expensive, and I already have a lifetime supply of cameras and lenses!
mike_halliwell
I noted one image had a Pentacon label. Which Foveon cameras have interchangeable lenses?
rick_drawbridge
I noted one image had a Pentacon label. Which Foveon cameras have interchangeable lenses? The Sigma SD Quattro series is the current flagship, using the Sigma SA lens mount. Adapters are available to fit other mounts, hence the Pentacon tag you noticed. sd Quattro Series | Cameras | SIGMA Corporation Sigma SD Quattro Review - The Strangest Camera I've Ever Used Edited November 11, 2021 by rick_drawbridge

q.g._de_bakker
Fabulous images. Color is very vibrant. I wouldn´t say "vibrant". True, rather. But indeed, these images distinguish themselves in their colour rendition. So maybe a shame to turn those images into monochromes ;-)

Beauty in the eye of the beholder? Ah, but what i meant is not about the beauty of monochromes. It is about something that stands above the rest in the way it handles colour not showing that it does. Sandy Vongries
Every time I see the photos, I'm sorely tempted. I just don't like the thought of the processing.
