Matt Laur
Note: In the interests of balancing performance and quality, the topic of image file size and dimensions as normally posted to this recurring thread is under discussion elsewhere in the Nikon forum (the topic is obvious when you look) - please check in there and comment if you have thoughts to share! That's the best place to talk about that particular topic. For now, consider keeping uploads no larger than 1600 pixels on the long side when it matters, and sticking with 1000 pixels when the image feels no pain at that resolution. On data size/compression, try to keep things under 1mb, shooting for 600kb when you can stop there. Note that this includes photos hosted off-site (at Flickr, Photobucket, your own site, etc). Are you new to this thread? The general guidelines for these Wednesday threads are right here: http://www.photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00W7km. For now, we're sticking with 1, 2, or 3 images per week as you see fit. Hello Nikon folks, and a happy Wednesday to all. More me this week, just a quick snapshot of some earrings we needed to get up into a web site shopping area pronto. That's it! SOMEBODY will post something a little more exotic, I'm sure!

mike_halliwell
Nikon Z6ii + 200-500mm (@500mm) + TC1.4Eii. 1/200 f11 ISO 1000. Fly...! (2.2m away, ie min focus... the 500mm 'end' seems good with my Z6ii... and bad with my D850 or D500. Guess that makes it an AF issue that Contrast Detect can manage but Phase Detect can't?) georg_s1
Nice shot! How long did you have to wait for a dog with a shape similar to the plaster break? Thanks, this image was staged. There are some dogs in the neighborhood, but no „matching” examples. It would have been a crime to picture a bulldog with this backgrpund so a friend with a dachshund came over for some snaps ;-)
Sanford
this image was staged I would have never admitted it.

ShunCheung
Thanks, this image was staged. There are some dogs in the neighborhood, but no „matching” examples. It would have been a crime to picture a bulldog with this backgrpund so a friend with a dachshund came over for some snaps ;-) Very nicely done. I almost missed the wall part of the image. I would have been very surprised if this image weren't staged.

mike_halliwell
I would have been very surprised if this image weren't staged. I think scraping paint off someone's wall to 'stage' a photo is reprehensible.
