Bill Blackwell Images
I like the second shot. Tell me about it. I shot it in October 2018 at the same stop, and the same time as the first, near Yuma, AZ. I was shooting with a 35mm lens that day, so it's cropped by around 50% (note the noise/grain) and heavily processed to bring out the clouds. Actually, I don't like that particular shot that much, but I'm glad you like it. “When you come to a fork in the road, take it ...” – Yogi Berra

arthur_mcculloch2
So some more photos from 'back to bonnie doon': Wingham's scottish festival. Like the mists in the original film (brigadoon), we fold into the twilight till next year. Done with a retina IIc, FP4 developed in ilfosol. Gritty and grainy, and no matter how hard I try, dusty. A make believe Celt Another make believe Celt Ahem, This couple camped out on the village green. Brave souls in our winter. Keep safe, regards. viktor_gruber
I really want to know about your photos, victor gruber. I can't speak now. Please tell me. They are good Arthur , sorry for the late answer, I was really busy these days. I took these photographs at the Holocaust Memorial at California Palace of the Legion of Honor during a Memorial Day. Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who have died in the performance of their military duties. The immigrants from former Soviet Union also mourning all people who died during the World War II and in the fascist concentration camps. Soviet Union lost in this war around 30 million people. But I see it's used in week 23. It's an interesting shot, the granularity. How was it done, and to resort to pictorialism, where. I recognise my gross intemperance in the past - what did Luther say: 'I know my demons'. Neither he nor I can lose them. I can't quite fathom your comments, Allen. Forgive me, I'm intemperate. Thank you. Keep safe. I do not know it, just know some people who went thru it, most dead, honestly, dead now (mainly post WWII immigrants to Oz I knew). They were beautiful shots. Viktor, they should be framed and exhibited. Keep safe, and keep contributing. Regards, Arthur (apiarist1). I must say, I don't know how to deal with these so great, so tragic, historical losses. They may have been in our parents lifetime - but the loss, the loss, continues. And I'm at a bit of a loss, too. I know that WWII was 'won' basically in the CCPR. So many people lost. Keep safe, keep photographing, and keep posting. Regards, Arthur (apiarist1)
