Nikon Photomics Photo

Anyone else have photos of their Nikon Photomic cameras?

A casual snap with three of the four zooms available back in the day. The 200-600 was just too expensive.

I used the Photomic F Tn and then the Photomic FTN for a lot of years without similar experiences. We are all different. I agree that the F2 was an design improvement.

 

Agree highly. Never had a problem with either issue. And the F2 was a design improvement.

Couldn't tell you if I prefer the F2 or F3. Still have both and they still work, in fact I was using the F2 today. The F4 and 5, entered the Land of the Giants, not very different from D2x or D3

My senior year in high school I went in to debt to get an F2, MD-2 and two Nikkor lenses for about $1700.00, strong money at the time. I learned more about photography with that rig and a few other lenses I borrowed than I have since I got my first digital body. Still have some F2’s and other film bodies and several lenses at least one of which goes out with me every day.

I like the F2 as the ultimate mechanical SLR ever, and the F3 as the best electronic SLR ever. Both are superb cameras. Agree highly about the F4 and F5.

Well, I'm a bit late to the party, but I'd like to play too.

 

 

F Photomic TN, F2 Photomic (DP-1), F3HP

 

I've recently discovered that the DP-1 can be used in place of my non-functioning Photomic TN on the F, so I may have to give that combo a try soon.
