Leslie Reid
You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension. There haven’t been many times that I’ve done a panic stop for a golf course. This was one of them.

Glenn McCreery
Bonneville Salt Flat. I was considering last weeks discussion about negative space while editing this image, in this case the area surrounding the figure and the upper sky.
Dieter Schaefer
My "house beach". Composition is pretty much dictated by the few positions I actually can shoot from - and focal length used, of course. Though the wave pattern was my main "focus" here, I feel the two runners add to the image. I also tried a B&W conversion but in this case like the color version better.
sallymack
My landscapes these days are mostly waterscapes.
Glenn McCreery
Isn’t Bonneville Salt Flat all about space (+ve & -ve)? Yes indeed, lots of space. It's total area is about forty five square miles, and is almost completely flat. It was formed by the evaporation of Pleistocene Lake Bonneville.

David_Cavan
From a relatively recent trip to Saskatchewan, where everything seems to be about big distances, and lines, for me.
