arthur_mcculloch2
My shots are again prosaic. Our 'Anzac Day'. A celebration of WWI and the early Winston Churchill's attempt to 'open up' the Black Sea to supply the Russians. A frolic. As if they didn't have a navy to do supplies. But there you go. So my contributions are from the post Anzac march piss-up: Now, this one has medals. I cannot but thank these brave people, and their spouses, and their children, they did so much. How can you ever thank them. Just cherish them, I suppose. And the final, all done with my monochrom and go to voigtlander, aka cosina, lens. Keep safe, Regards, Arthur (apiarist1)

Kodak GC 400 desaturated with PS. I particularly like the last shot. Granularity is an issue, but not obtrusive. It's good, very good, luis triguez. Are you photographing on a theme? Street life? I have a IIIc, peeling chrome - post war, they couldn't the nickel to make the chrome last (nowadays, they use copper, not nickel. Serves the same purpose - chrome is oxygen and water porous - I understand that nickel and copper are not. I must get it out and use it. arthur_mcculloch2
all from Chino, CA on M7 35mm barryfisher, that third shot - where was it. They are good shots, and that third shot is almost reminiscent of some hidden gin or whiskey still somewhere. The tonality and lighting is excellent. You should post a tutorial on 'how to do it'. You, Bill Bowes, and billblackwellphotography seem to have nailed b&w. Regards, Arthur (apiarist1)
httpwww.photo.netbarry
Thanks Arthur. So all 3 photos are from a house and possibly an old dairy farm or some have said it was a pig farm. Not sure, but it was on one property on a street where the back yards of the houses border on a flood plain near the Prado dam in Southern California. It seemed in high rain years, water from the damn would inundate the properties so the state condemned them. For a couple of years we were able to park there and photograph the decaying buildings, sort of grunge building porn, if you will. They are all gone now. They weren't historical structures, just ranch houses built in the 60s or 70s. Was a fun place to photograph.
