tom_r
There are no rules as to how you apply your post processing to this image; but, please let us know what you have done so we can all learn. If you would like to post a candidate image next week, please ensure it is of sufficiently high resolution for manipulation by the participants (3000px on the long side, 300dpi for example). Most of all, let's have fun while we are learning or demonstrating how we use our post-processing software, imaginations and interpretations.
Dieter Schaefer
Cropped to panoramic format and leveled, adjusted exposure and tonality in ACR; then overlayed antique Silver Efex preset, changed the blend mode to color burn and ended up with the fountain properly isolated:
PuntaColorada
Thanx for the image, Tom. Sorry about the duplicate forum post. In LR, I moved the white and black points quite a bit. I also cropped and levelled. In PS, I duplicated the layer, put a white fill layer under it and then used blend-if to brighten the fountain water and a mask to protect the other features that got caught accidentally. Then I replaced the sky using Replace Sky. Next I did a lot of dodging in the trees to brighten them up globally and differentially. Some high pass sharpening was used on the fountain water and the rocks bordering the pond. A black border and then back in LR some vignetting and export.

tom_r
Ok, this one is an homage fountain isolation a la Dieter Schaefer, but carried to a questionable end b/w experiment I call "Bizarre Abstract." Make no mistake, I consider Dieter's version fine art. My version is just a crazy experiment. Edited April 26, 2021 by tom_r
